Olivia is playing soccer this year on a church league in town and it has been so much fun for all of us. Jeremy somehow managed to get roped into coaching, which for me looks like a very difficult task. I often say to coach a group of 4 year olds you have to know how to herd cats. Which is probably appropriate here because the name of her team is the Pumas! Liv has really taken to playing soccer like a fish to water. She loves the uniform (and is quick to tell me if I don't put it on her correctly, especially the shin guards). She also loves going to the once a week practices (except the day we got her flu shot - she sat on the sidelines and cried for 15 minutes) and although we have had to miss several games, she really enjoys game days. Her only problem is that she doesn't quite get that you have to go after the ball to win - the game really isn't about waving to the fans on the sidelines and just chasing the other girls. Aggressiveness and initiative have not been her forte this season, but we are working on it. Truly all the little girls are just precious to watch. Our last game is this Saturday, October 22 at 9:00 if you want to come out and cheer her on.
