Happy New Year!

This year, knowing full well that our children would never make it to midnight, finding a sitter would be impossible, and frankly, we were likely too tired to make it to midnight, we had an early NYE party at our house with some good friends and their kids.  Everyone came over around 5 for dinner (pork tenderloin, rolls, mac and cheese, and green beans) and some amazing NYE cookies from Belle's Bakery, as well as a to-die-for fruit trifle.  The kids had a great time playing in the play room and playing dress up.  We also managed to fast forward the clock so we could have a countdown and celebrate the new year around 7:30 - a much more kid friendly time!  At least there was a little champagne floating around, although mine grew warm in my black solo cup.  Oh well - the wild and crazy NYE will have to wait until we are MUCH older.  It was fun though!  Happy New Year!

Everyone had NYE hats and favors to celebrate with!
